David Sworder
Trained as a chef in south of France and London’s renowned Langan's Brasserie in the 1970s.  He has owned three successful Kent restaurants; Morton’s Fork in Minster, Chequers in Deal and Bayside Brasserie in Broadstairs.  He now provides self-catering accommodation at the 18th century Durlock Lodge in Minster, near Ramsgate.

Mary Gwynn
A member of Guild of Food Writers was brought up and lives in Kent on its East Sussex border near Edenbridge.  A member of the Guild of Food Writers she is the former editor of BBC Vegetarian Good Food Magazine and has had several vegetarian cookery books published.  A keen supporter of local food and restaurants, Mary is on the committee of the Penshurst farmers' market and writes recipes cards for Waitrose and monthly food features in the Wealden Times. 

Helen Conn  BSc CSci FIFST FRSM
A creative food scientist and successful businesswoman, identifying new food ingredients with considerable knowledge of Japanese, Indian, Chinese cuisines.   She has appeared as Food Expert on BBC The One Show, UK Good Food and BBC Food and Drink. www.helenconnworks.com

Bob ‘the Cat’ Bevan OBE
Bob is regarded as the leading after-dinner speaker in the UK and his book "Nearly Famous" was a best-seller. He is a Trustee of the leading cricket charity the Lord's Taverners and still plays for his village side. He is an Honorary Barker of the Variety Club and a member of the Grand Order of Water Rats. In his earlier career he was a travel writer and then Head of PR for the European Ferries Group for 14 years.

Ann Nichol
25 years’ wide experience as a cookery writer and editor on national women's magazines, including BBC Good Food, Women’s Weekly, Best, and Home And Freezer Digest.  She has undertaken development work for  Whitworth's, Ross Foods, California Raisins, Billington’s Sugars, plus styling for Sainsbury and Tesco. A member of the Guild Food of Food Writers, she lives in Kent.

Kiki Case

Kiki is the co founder and editor of Isle Magazine, dedicated to Thanet, and a regular contributor to its restaurant reviews.  She is a firm believer in the joys of the eating out experience and has a keen eye for well-prepared and presented food, excellent service and in the proprietor’s passion in their business. Brought up in a food centric Indian family, Kiki spent a lot of time in the kitchen helping to prepare for frequent extended family feasts. The early part of her life was spent as a vegetarian, but now an omnivore, she revels in the food of all nationalities.  She lives in Broadstairs.

Mario Wyn-Jones
Mario is a former chief inspector of Egon Ronay’s Guides and editor of Carlton’s award-winning food and drink website, SimplyFood.  Mario has compiled restaurant reviews and monthly updates for Olive, the BBC Food web site, and contributed to Which? Books, Time Out and The Independent. He has also consulted for Marks & Spencer, and assessed patient food for the Department of Health.
